SIM personnel are sent through 9 sending offices namely Australia, Canada, East Asia, Korea, New Zealand, Southern Africa, U.K/Europe, U.S.A, who are volunteers funded by their own private supporters such as business at home, churches or individuals. SIM personnel can serve a short time (1 month to 2 years) or become full members and serve for long term. Different skilled professionals serve with SIM such as administrators, engineers, nurses etc
